OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS:-
The arc quenching occurs inside the rotating body containing SF6 gas. During the opening operation the arching moving contacts, fitted inside the rotary block, plug-out the arching fix contacts cutting the circuit, while both the upper and the lower air insulated main contacts still remain coupled.During the finishing operation, when the arc is already quenched, the main contacts disjoin themselves and the rotating body through a rotation of 90 degrees reaches the open position with the three bushing connected to the ground.
